Welcome to Dance In Perspective

DIP

Dance In Perspective is situated at Unit 1/17 Bessemer Way, Wangara. It has 2 separate studios each fully airconditioned and fitted out with wall mirrors and wooden wall barres. Our large, comfortable waiting area boasts a viewing window (so that parents can observe classes in Studio 2 whilst not interfering with the class), a coffee machine and microwave oven for preparing dinner snacks, and a noticeboard to keep you up-to-date with changes to timetables, costume details, audition notifications and exam timetables.

A student's passion for dance may lead to:

  1. a professional career in teaching - Dance in Perspective has seen 24 young women be successful in gaining over 36 teaching qualifications over the past 24 years.

  2. performing - A number of our past students have gone on to perform professionally. Shane Morley has performed in the musicals Cats (Germany Tour) and Beauty and The Beast (Australian Tour); Jemma Davies performed in the Spirit of the Dance (USA and Australian Tours); Kate McLennan performed at Moulin Rouge (Paris) in 2006, was dance Captain on the P&O Ventura sailing through the Mediterranean and The Caribbean, danced at Benidorm Palace, Spain and most recently performed at The Lido, Paris; Sally McLennan performed for 6 months on Norwegian Cruise Lines' Pearl sailing through Alaska and the Caribbean, and she has also danced a 1 year contract as an International Dancer at Benidorm Palace, Spain, followed by a contract at The Lido, Paris. Her latest contract was with Princess Cruise Lines working out of Miami, Florida.

  3. time spent with us simply being a lovely pastime from which they will gain self confidence and self discipline, and enjoy the benefits of a wonderful form of exercise and make lifelong friends.

Our Uniform Shop is upstairs and is open Saturdays and some evenings. Please call for current operating times.

Our end of year concert is the highlight of our dance calendar. To date, it has been held in early to mid December. Over the years it has been held at The Perth Concert Hall, Hadley Hall - Methodist Ladies' College; at The Lady Wardle Performing Arts Centre - St Mary's Anglican Girls' School and most recently, at RNDM Performing Arts Centre at Sacred Heart College.

Classes operate as normal on all public holidays and long weekends except Easter.
